Beef Steak

This was the beef steak of my husband,if you notice,the meat was still red inside(not cook)and lots of blood,he liked it that way.Mine was medium well done,I've learned to love to eat steak that it's not very cooked.Before,when we eat steak,it has to be well grilled and I didn't like to see any blood.Now,it has to be tender and juicy and I don't like to eat meat that is over cooked because it's similar when you eat a rubber.

I remember,he bought a thick meat of a beef and he grilled it for a very short time.When I saw that it was full of blood and when he sliced it,it seems that the meat wasn't even cooked.Ew!I guess,most of the french like that way.

Buying a vapor steam cleaner

Soon,we will be moving to our new house and since the previous owner left the house for almost 5 months already,I guess we have to do some general cleaning.We have seen the place and we know that it has many dirts and stains on the floor tiles and grout and the other places of the house.Surely,it's hard to clean it,so we need to buy a home steam cleaning machine.We've seen a lot of good vapor steam cleaners at the store near to us.It's a good idea to buy this coz it's a multi-usage device.Since there are lots to choose from,we still have to decide which one we have to buy.

My friend's home theater room

I chatted my friend in California and showed me their new cozy home theater room.I was really envy looking at the photos,the room was very beautiful with their big plasma TV,their new elegant home theater seats and also their nice home theater sconces that gives light to the room.She told me,that they buy little by little their home theater accessories at home.Just by looking at the photos,they really have some great stuffs there.I'm so envy at her,wish to have those too :)

Charice Pempengco at David Foster's concert in Las Vegas

Another great achievement and a great performance of Charice.After guesting Ellen De Generes show,Paul O Grady and the ever known Ophrah show,now she was invited to be one of the guest at David Foster's concert in Mandalay Las Vegas.She was given 2 standing ovations from American audiences after singing I will always love you and I am telling you.David Forster a musical guru really admired Charice for her singing ability and even said after her performance,"The star is born tonight"these words coming from him means a lot!Oh,she was so lucky to met and performed with these big international singing stars like Josh Groban,Andrea Bocelli,Alicia Keys and many more in that concert.

I like watching her performances here,her renditions of Whitney Houston were great.To think she was performing infront of more than 10,000 audiences but still her stage presence was great!Love you Charice! :)No doubt she'll be the next International big star!The pride of every Filipino.

All the family of my husband love to travel and discover different places.My other sister in law and her family will be going to "The City that never Sleeps", Las Vegas,Nevada this coming summer.How I wish I could go with them :)I would love to go to Caesar's Palace.

Good thing they've found the best deal of their Las Vegas travel on the net.They save some bucks.Not only that,the site provides some informations on what things to do at the place and recommended some nice resto to dine out.They already have their itineraries ready on where to go.They're very excited already to visit the place,2 months to go and it's vacation time!

Searching for the right diet pill

I've been telling that I wanted to lose weight and my search is not yet ended,I'm still on comparing which one is the right diet pill for me.I'm still searching for the right diet pill.Though there are many weight loss pills in the market not all are safe and effective.Aside from being safe,I want the product to have an active ingredient to control appetite,that gives more energy and increase metabolic rate to help burn calories in my body.But I have to ask first my doctor if it is safe for me to use this kind of product.

Filipinos are the most users in friendster

Filipinos are known for being friendly and it shows in friendster :)I've read in the inquirer.net that Filipinos are the biggest population of friendster users in the world,surpassing the United States,where the service was originally launched.When you browse the members,you will find many Filipinos:)I even thought sometimes that it's a social network for Pinoys :)I can even attest to that because I guess almost of my classmates in high school and in collage are members of Friendster.I even found my long lost friend there.It's a great place to find,reunite old and new friends.

50 cents fare increase was postponed

The non stop increasing of gasoline price results chain increases of basic commodities prices.Thus results also for the fare increase.Few days ago,I read that there will be 50 cents fare increase again nationawide in the Philippines.All PUJs in the country will charge 50 centavos more in the current minimum fare which covers the first four kilometers traveled.It will be another pain in the butt for the Filipino people who can't even afford to buy foods.I even heard when I went home last year that many people didn't want to travel much and just stayed at home because of the expensive fare of jeepneys.How much more if they continue to increase the fare?Luckily,the Department of Transportation and Communications postponed it and conduct further study.What a relief!

High price increase of rice

Everytime I watch the Filipino programs on the net and even here in France,the hiking price of rice are always the subject.I really don't understand why the prices of basic commodities are skyrocketing while the Philippine peso is soaring?Normally,the prices will be lesser but it's not what happen right now.Sad but it's true,poor people are the victims.How can they afford to buy rice at 38 pesos per kilo and eat three times a day?That's is why many people eat NFA rice right now making long queue just to buy 2 kilos per day.Even here in France,we feel the pain coz before the 25 euros per 20 klo sack of rice is now 35 euros in our asian store.I hope government will do something about it.

The famous Louvre Museum

Louvre Museum is one of the most visited place here in France and the most visited museum in the world.It is located near Garden of Tuileries and Seine river. Here,you can see the famous Monalisa by Leonardo Da Vinci and some other world’s famous works of art .
In the middle,you can see the Louvre Pyramid which serves as the main entrance of the museum. I remembered,when we went there,with so much beautiful paintings and sculptures,we never visited the whole place,we runned out of time.It’s really worth the visit though.

Baby shower

Me and my friends visited our friend Ellaine who is now on her 6th month of pregnancy.She will be having her baby shower next month and she already sent her baby shower invitations to her family,relatives and friends.I already have her cute invitation card.Everyone was excited because it's gonna be her first baby and she will be having a baby girl.We,her friends prepare some surprises on that special occassion,we want it to be memorable for her.

Nursing home

The other night,I was able to watched a documentary about different stories of elderly people who are abandoned by their families,with Alzheimer disease and other illness.I really felt sad and pity for them.It reminds me of the elder people that I served when I had my training in nursing aide at the home for the aged.These people are in need of special care,love and assistance.Some of them are in the nursing homes and some of them are in homecares.The nice thing about nursing home is that it provides 24 hour nursing care.Since most of these elderly people are incapable,they provide personal care assistance such as helping them to eat,to bathe,in toilet and some other needs.With these help and assistance,elders will not feel that they are totally alone even they are far from their families,it will give them hope,thinking that someone still care and love them.It's really a great solution for the needs of these senior citizens.

It's weekend again!

Oh I can't believe time flies so fast again,it's weekend again!We still have much to do at home for the move.You know guys,we were so upset yesterday because there's a problem on signing for "la vente" of our appartment here,the bank of the buyer still didn't release the money.We wanted a simultaneous payment,so the buyer of our appartment here,should pay us first,then,we pay the money for our remaining balance to the owner of the house that we wanted to buy.We already gave an initial payment to the notaire.

Since the signing wasn't done the other day,the owner of the house was very mad and he told us,we might lose the house.I was so upset too,we already scheduled the date of the move,some things were already at the box and we already paid the company to transfer our things.

I really hope things will turn out right, as we wanted to be.Hope we can still have the house.

To look younger

Everytime I see my sister in law,it seems that she's never getting older.She looks young for her age.I'm always asking,how she do that?.Sometimes,I even think that I look older than her :( wahh! Even in wearing clothes,hair style and her over all get up,I can see that she's making effort to look younger.

Last time,I got a chance to talked and asked her,what is her secret in maintaining such a nice younger looking skin?She told me that she eats right and uses some anti-aging beauty products for her face and for her body.She's been using a lot of anti-aging lotions. She told me,she did not want to look older,that's why she makes an effort to take care of her skin,doing her daily regimen with these anti-aging products.I can see how happy she is, when people tell her,how beautiful and younger looking she is.

Cute baby names

Last Saturday the grown up daughter of my husband and her boyfriend visited us,it's been two long months we haven't seen them.That's why even when we were eating,the conversation was non stop :)We talk about what's new,each of us share what's happening in our lives lately.But the most exciting and great news that we heard from them was that my daughter in law is now pregnant!We were so much happy for them,she prayed for this to happen.

She said that we will participate on choosing her baby's name,we have to give a name for a boy and a girl.So I searched on the net for some cute baby names.One site we have found has lists of names where you will also know the origin of the name and it's meaning.Oh lalala,it's really hard to choose only one as they are all cute!I just reserved my favorite names in case I'll be pregnant this year :)

Eating vegetable salad

This evening,we just had a vegetable salad;tomatoes,crab meat and eggs with bread in our dinner coz we were still full from the food we ate at lunch.It was very good,I really like the combinations especially you eat it with mayonnaise,hmm!.It's nice to eat this kind of food if you want to make some diet :)

French people love to eat veges and fruits,I guess that's the reason why they live longer :)

I love flowers!

Whenever we go out I like watching on the flowers even in the flower shop,mall,in the garden or wherever.I also like to put flowers on our table.It gives joy and happiness just by looking those beautiful different colored ones.It adds beauty too to our home.These are some of the flower bouquets we bought.

Another tragedy in Asia

Im really sad of what's happening in Asia right now,after Burma's tragedy, hitted by cyclone with more than 20,000 people died,now it's China's turn.The country was hitted by a powerful earthquake that killed almost 15000 people and thousands of missing too.It is said that it was the most violent earthquake in 30 years.What a worst consecutive tragedies!

If only we can stop these natural calamities.

New laptop

We're planning to buy a new laptop because I wanted to give our laptop right now to my sister when we visit the Philippines this coming December.My sister wanted it very much that I easily said yes,she's lucky to have a sister like me,huh :)I saw a nice and affordable laptop in an online store.Me,I don't care the brand of the product as long as it's good,will last longer and also affordable.

Festival de Cannes

Cannes Film Festival 61st edition,one of the world's oldest and most influential and prestigious film festivals was officially opened today.Many prominent stars from different countries surely are there to witness this international film competition.It begins with the Brazillian entry Blindness.It also features,Harrison Ford film,Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by Steven Spielberg,Im really excited to watch this movie.The Festival will end on the 25th of May,it's also the time they will give the ward,Palm d'or for the best film.

Putting up a business

I really wanted to have my own business but it's difficult to decide what kind of business I'm going to put up and also that fits my budget.My friend's husband who is also looking for some business opportunities,told me that maybe they gonna invest on franchise opportunity.He said that there are many other franchises to choose from,like health and fitness,business services,pets,cleaning services,retail franchises and many more but they will choose a franchise that is related to food.Lucky for them,they already have a sufficient capital to start their business.

Child insurance

As a parent,I want the best for my baby boy.I want him to be safe and secure whatever may happens to us in the future.That's the reason why I'm thinking of getting him a child insurance.Having it for my baby will protect him from experiencing a financial burden later in life.It will provide a financial head start for my baby by accumulating cash value,he can use it for college tuition or in medical emergency when he grows up.With this child insurance,me and my husband will be tranquil for the future of our child.

Sauté mussels

I really like tahong or mussels,it's one of my favorite foods.When I was in Philippines,I like to sauté it with ginger,red bell pepper,onions and garlic and some seasoning and sometimes put some coriander.Here in France I do different styles,I cook it sometimes in cream or in tomato sauce a la french style.But you know,I still love the Philippines version a lot,maybe because of the aroma of ginger and bell pepper :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day to all the mother's out there!It will be my second time to celebrate this special occasion.Ours here in France will be on the last Sunday of May so,two more weeks to go.I know in Philippines and in USA,they celebrate it today,I greeted my Lola and my aunties in Philippines this morning.Kudos to us mothers!for we have the most novel job in the world :)

So sad that I can no longer celebrate it with my mother,I miss you Ma,happy mother's day to you too wherever you are.

My friend's house mortgage problem

I had a good news from a friend in USA,they will be keeping their home.Before,she and her family were afraid for the foreclosure of their house.Her husband was laid off and didn't have a job for some months so they stop paying for their house mortgage.Luckily now,her husband just got a job and they are determine to save the house.They have talked to many mortgage lenders so that they can compare which will give them the best rate.I'm happy that they can have now a mortgage loan,their fears were gone and they can still keep their house.I'm so happy for them.

Diet pill

I was shocked when I saw my friend Linda last week.At first,I even not recognized her,until she was near and talked to me :) She shed a lot of weight!She was bigger than me before.I haven't seen her for quite sometime but seeing her now makes me envy and want to do some diet.She told me she is doing some exercise and diet.Me being envy to her,wanted to lose weight too.I know there are other ways to lose weight like taking diet pill.So I was searching on the net about weight loss products and found Orovo detox.I don't know if it is safe and effective to use.Is there any of you know this product? is it safe to use??Maybe I have to read more about this product and it's reviews or better yet,ask my doctor if this product is harm-free to use.

World- wide Deal or No deal in Manila

Deal or no Deal is one of the best game shows in America and even in the 120 countries all over the world.Now,they'll be touring to different countries and their first destination was Philippines!It's really funny seeing Howie Mandel riding the tricycle and visiting places in Manila and enjoying the Filipino people hospitality.Kris Aquino was so good co-hosting him.Good thing that the show went well in the Philippines.I'm looking forward for the France turn :)

Beautiful week!

Here in France for almost a week now, our weather is so nice.We see Mr sunlight often,which is a good news for us :)The other day and yesterday we went out in the afternoon and profit the warm day.Right now we're on 25-27 degree celcius,many people wear summer clothes,wearing sleeveless and shorts!I guess I have to put our winter clothes in the box,we'll not need them anymore :)

Great Laughlin hotels

My brother in law and his family will be going to Nevada,USA this summer for a business trip and at the same time for a vacation too.Laughlin will be their destination.They alreading searching on the net some beautiful and great laughlin hotels.

He said,searching made so easy for them because at their site they can compare the.They wanted to stay near Colorado River for some water activities.I guess they already booked in Colorado Belle hotel which is near the river.Hope they will have a nice vacation.

School supplies

Classes in the Philippines will be opening soon.So it means,I have to send some money again to buy some school supplies for cousins who are in grade school and high school.But I decided to send a balikbayan box where I'll put some school supplies in it.I already put some nice bags,watercolors,some books and many different colors and styles of bic pens.I know the kids will love their presents from me.It's good that they don't buy anymore some school supplies,it would be less expense for my aunties.

Peking soup

This soup is called soupe pekinoise in french.I usually cook this soup for my husband,he really likes it a lot and so do I.We love the hot and sour taste of it.Whenever I prepare this,it's already our all in 1 meal,it has meat and lots of veges.

I put some chicken fillets,tofu,many vegetables like carrots,mushrooms,bamboo shoots,onions,scallions,some eggs and sometimes I add sotanghon.It's easy to do it and a very healthy meal.

Birthday present

My husband gonna celebrate his birthday pretty soon.I've been browsing an online jewelry store.I remembered,he wanted a gold chain necklace before.I guess it would be a nice birthday present for him,what do you think guys?

I saw some nice men necklaces there,it's hard to choose,they are all wonderful.Maybe I just choose what's right for my budget :)I don't have much money.What important is I remember his special day.A nice and good husband deserves a wonderful gift.

Stereo rack

It's been two weeks now that our stereo rack was broken.Our stereo component were on the floor for the moment.Me and my husband were browsing the internet to find some good designs and great deals on audio stands.But we've found some audio racks and stands at the store nearby our place instead.We like some of their audio and visual furnitures that we think will fit in our appliances.We have to save some more bucks for us to buy some of it soon.

Me and my husband really love to travel.We've been to different countries already and we want to visit more!In our travels,we discovered and learned the cultures,traditions,their historical places and the life of people in every country's we visited.That's why,whenever we have some extra money, we travel.

We usually check on the net for some good flight deals.By that,we can compare rates and choose the best flight deal on our preferred destination.It really saves us some money.

Bizarre foods featured Philippines

I really like to watch voyage channel here especially the show Bizarre food by Andrew Zimmern.I like the idea of his show,showcasing the exotic foods of different countries.He always said these words,if it looks good,eat it! :)

I was happy that they featured Philippines.In this episode,he tried the balut(fertilized duck eggs),worms from trees in Palawan,lechon,ice cream in the bun and some Filipino delicacies.

Drug treatment center

My friend's husband was recovered and saved from being alcoholic.They went to a drug treatment center.Nowadays,many people,young and old are addicted to prohibited drugs and we know that it's really hard to recover once you're in it.No drug addict ever gets sober without the help of drug treatment center professionals.This center will really help drug addicts to get better,give treatment that works and make them sober.

My advise,stay away from prohibited drugs,it will just give you problems.
