I want to make on my own,I don't want to buy it eventhough there are lots of it in the store.So what I did the next weekend,we went to the asian store and bought the bun mix for the dough and then I searched the recipe on the net and found the Siopao asado recipe which is my favorite.
I was so excited,I couldn't wait anymore.I started immediately making the dough.After that I cooked the filling.If you want to make it also at home,I suggest you buy a bun mix,it has instruction how to make the dough and it's easy coz you just add only water,that's it.
For the filling,you just need 400 grms ground pork, 1 tsp minced garlic,1 halved onion,4 tsp soy sauce,1 star anise,1 bay leaf,3 tsp sugar, 1 tsp cooking oil, 1/4 cup water and 1 tsp cornstarch.Just add brown the ground pork ,add the rest of the ingredients except the water and cornstarch.When it's cook add the mixture of water and conrnstarch,stir until it's thick and almost dry.
If you noticed,my buns are not perfectly molded,I don't know how to form it well,what matters most is that it taste good!

wow! kalami anii amor!!! haaaay gigutom nuon ko samot na i just vomitted while ago so now my stomach is empty and looking for some foods aain...timing pag-open nako diri ang imong siopao pagkalami ani uy asa man ta kapalit anang buns gud?

Hello Amy and Haydee,ali kaon ta sa siopao.Naghimo naman pod ko usab tong niaging semana,pero gibutang nako sa freezer tapos ako nalang i-steam.
Hello dear, Sanai likes siopao, everytime we are in the phils he eats it everyday, som im just curious how u cook the bun, did u bake it in the oven or u steam it? pls advice me...tes siopao sont bien reusi, ça me donne envie d'essayer!!!

uy sarap naman nito Amor, fave ko ang siopao! Ang gawin mo next time, ibaliktad mo, bale yung part ng siopao na sinara mo, yun ang nasa ilalim. Kung meron kang baking paper, cut it into squares tapos yun ang ilagay mo sa ilalim. So yun nasa itaas ang smooth side.
